Head of School, Pre-K - 8th grade, San Francisco, CA


in 1981 by visionary leaders and educators as the first bilingual,
bicultural school of its kind in the U.S., Chinese American
International School is a coeducational day school in downtown San
Francisco enrolling 440 students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8.
School days are divided between instruction in English and Chinese,
leading students to achieve bilingual mastery at an early age. The
faculty of 71 full- and part-time teachers is strong and deeply
committed to the students in their care, and includes a mix of native
speakers of English and Mandarin. Students are well known inside and
outside the school as talented, highly motivated young scholars. The
School is in excellent financial shape, and boasts a rich array of
auxiliary programs. The School seeks a Head of School to begin July 1,

conversant in Mandarin for this remarkable and exciting position. It is
