Chinese Language Visiting Lecturer Charlotte, North Carolina


The Department of Languages and Culture Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a visiting lecturer of Chinese. This is a one year, full-time, temporary position for the 2012-13 academic year, with a beginning date of August 15, 2012.

Requirements include native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English; Ph.D., ABD, or M.A. in disciplines such as Chinese language, literature, history, or foreign language education, with concentration in Chinese, by the time of employment. Teaching experience at college or university level is required. The responsibilities include teaching 12 semester hours of Chinese classes of different levels each semester, organizing and attending student activities, and assisting the coordinator of the Chinese program.
