Two Chinese Teaching Fellow positions in Hamilton College


The East Asian Languages and Literatures Department at Hamilton
College invites applications for two Chinese Teaching Fellow positions
for the 2010-2011 academic year. Requirements include a BA or MA in
Chinese or related areas, native speaker of Mandarin, fluency in
English, and teaching experience preferred. The Teaching Fellow will
assist two full-time faculty members to teach two courses per semester
including individual sessions and other teaching activities (such as
language table). Stipend is $10,500 per year plus room, board, health
insurance, and a round-trip ticket to Hamilton College (meals will not
be provided during college vacations). The Teaching Fellow may also
enroll in one or two courses per semester at Hamilton College at no
charge. To apply, send letter of application, indicating the position
of Teaching Fellow, curriculum vitae, a video (or audio) presentation
of self-introduction in both English and Chinese, and at least one
letter of recommendation to: Prof. De Bao Xu, East Asian Languages and
Literatures Department, Hamilton College, Clinton, NY 13323. Review of
applications will begin on March 15, 2010 and will continue until
position is filled.
