Tenure-track Position in Chinese at Georgetown University


The Department of East Asian Languages and
Cultures, Georgetown University, invites applications for a new
tenure-track position in Chinese starting Fall 2010.  The position
requires a Ph.D. in Chinese linguistics or a related field at the time
of appointment, formal training in Chinese language pedagogy,
native/near native proficiency in Chinese and English, and prior
experience teaching in North America at the college level. The
successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research
agenda, coordinate a rapidly growing Chinese language program, and
provide pedagogical support for the language faculty.  Teaching will
include language courses.  Prior experience coordinating a college
Chinese language program is a plus.  Send letters of application, CV
