Two Full-Time Chinese Instructors at Georgetown University



The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Georgetown University invites
applications for two three-year full-time instructors positions in Chinese language,
starting August 2013. The two positions are renewable and non-tenure-track. Candidates
must have a graduate degree in Chinese language pedagogy or a related field with
native or near native proficiency in Chinese and English. Experience teaching college-
level Chinese in North America and the ability to teach all levels of Chinese language
courses are required. Duties include active involvement in program affairs such as
conducting proficiency examinations for Georgetown students. Preliminary interviews
will be conducted at ACTFL in November. Please send a letter of application, CV
(including courses taught), three letters of recommendation and a 30 minute teaching
