Chinese Lecturer II at Hong Kong Baptist University

Lecturer II (PR086/12-13)

The appointee is expected to (a) teach five courses per semester; (b) supervise students in thesis writing; (c) assist in the design, preparation and revision of syllabuses and teaching materials for courses; (d) pro-actively provide services to the Department; and (e) perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Applicants should have a Masters Degree in Chinese Language, Chinese Literature, Chinese Studies, or a relevant discipline.  Evidence of good organizational skills, inter-personal skills, and communication skills is also required.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing January 2013.  Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement, performance review and availability of funding.

Remuneration package includes retirement/gratuity benefits, annual leave, medical and dental scheme.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
