The Department of Modern Languages at Florida State University invites
applications for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in
traditional Chinese literature. Applicant must have Ph. D in Chinese
literature or related field at the time of employment. Preferred focus
is on a period from Tang to Qing dynasties. Native or near-native
fluency in Chinese and English as well as commitment to undergraduate
education. In addition to courses in traditional Chinese literature and
culture, the successful candidate will teach Chinese language courses.
Interviews will be conducted at the MLA, and the position will remain
