Assistant Professor in Chinese language and literature at Washington and Lee University



Washington and Lee University invites applications for a tenure-track
position of Assistant Professor in Chinese language and literature. The
applicant should have the PhD by the time of appointment with native or
near-native fluency in Chinese and English and have demonstrated
excellence in scholarship and in teaching Chinese language at all
levels in a U.S. college or university setting. Preference will be
given to candidates in modern Chinese literature and with experience in
computer-assisted language instruction. Send applications with a cover

Search Committee, Department of East Asian Languages & Literatures,
Washington and Lee University, Lexington, VA 24450. Review of
applications will begin on November 1 and preliminary interviews may be
conducted at the ACTFL convention in Orlando during Nov. 20-23, 2008.
